Joshua and colleague Tim Waterman have completed editing a 40 chapter book, The Routledge Handbook of Landscape and Food (Routledge, London).
Taking over three years to compile, the 40 chapter, 340,000 word volume includes 53 contributors from across the globe.
Allen S. Weiss describes it as “an exemplary interdisciplinary volume of great topical scope and profound conceptual depth. From landscape to seascape, Neolithic and Aboriginal to modern and globalized, the ecological to the utopian, The Routledge Handbook of Landscape and Food offers culinary wisdom, sociological analysis and ethical guidance. It is an indispensable book which promises to inaugurate a new epoch of both culinary and landscape studies.”
Released in February 2018, it will later be available in a more affordable softcover version. The table of contents and reviews can be found here.
